Redmond Watershed Preserve is known for its especially well-groomed trails, gently rolling hills, and forests thick with fern. Novices appreciate that there is less to trip on and more room to pass than other more technical venues, while veterans enjoy besting their personal records on the smooth dirt carpet. So lace up, grab a friend, and make the most of summer in a vibrant green forest. Join us for a 5-mile or 10-mile trail run at Sunshine Salutation, part of the Tuesday Night Trail to Grill series!

Youth Runner Discount

Runners who are age 19 or younger are eligible to receive a $10 discount. When registering online, the discount will be automatically generated based on your date of birth.

There is a parking lot at the start/finish area, and no parking pass or shuttle bus are required.

IMPORTANT
Weekday evening traffic can often be very busy and the beautiful parks we host the Tuesday Night Trail to Grill Series at can get very busy, particularly on sunny days. As such, we recommend you allow yourself extra time for travel and finding parking on race evening.

Course Description

The course has low to moderate climb and mostly relatively wide, smooth trails, with few steep parts.

Aid Station
The aid station is located near the Start/Finish (no remote aid station), and it offers water, electrolyte drink, and some carbohydrate-rich or salty foods, such as cookies, pieces of energy bar, gels, chews, chips, fruity candy, fig bars, and/or bananas.

Hot dogs, watermelon, & more!

Make sure to stick around after your race for hot dogs, veggie dogs, watermelon, and other yummy snacks. We will present awards for the top 3 Female and Open category finishers in each distance, and we’ll raffle off fun prizes, so you might win something just by showing up!

Apparel

You can add the 2024 Northwest Trail Runs apparel to your race registration and pick them up at the event, or check them out and purchase at the event.

You don’t see your preferred size? Email us, and we may be able to accommodate.

$18.10 + tax – short sleeve tech shirts, in unisex, women’s cuts & youth

Safety, Etiquette, Pets/Dogs

SAFETY
The trails will be open to other users during the event, including pedestrians and equestrians (horseback riders). Please be courteous. Horses have the right of way, and if you encounter a horse in your path, stop running and talk to the rider; you will probably need to step to the side of the trail to let the horse past, but sometimes the rider will tell you it is okay to walk past. The amount of trail traffic will depend on the weather.

PETS
Pets are not allowed in Redmond Watershed Preserve.

PASSING ETIQUETTE
Where the trails are narrow, please let other participants pass you if they want to get by. It is a passing runner’s job to tell the person in front that they wish to pass.

HEADPHONES
If you are wearing headphones during the event, please keep the volume low so that you can hear runners behind you. Be especially mindful that runners may be asking you to step aside so they may pass.
